l purchased Acura 2001 in May 2007.
l put $2000 for down payment and my monthly payment is $270 for next 4 years. By the time l pay off this car, it will be 2012. The car will be old by then....but for now it is a great car and it is a great condition with 77000 miles on it. l just wanna low my payment....but l am not sure l should keep this car and switch to something like 2006 Toyota which is around $14000. If l trade in my car now, it worth $8000-7000. Private sell will be $9000.

You can lower your payment. but it will take you longer to pay off that way. If l were you I'd pay OVER what my min. payments are and get it paid off faster THEN trade. it is never good to trade or sale a car that has is being financed. just isn't.

It will also build your credit to pay HIGHER and get it paid off FASTER. then next time you purchase a car you will get better interest rates and lower payments if that is what you want.
