whats a good model for my first car and how much should i pay for one

my first car waht a 1999 eclipse and l hated it

but after l sold it l bought a 92 honda accord and it is been great!

they have great gas milleage, insurance is cheap, they are not slow like civics, and really easy to work on

and they sell from $500-$3000

Research on the web the different models. l can tell u that even since the 70s Hondas (Civics, etc) have been extremely reliable, durable, & high resale value. Another good durable, good resale car is a Blazer.
Will u buy from a dealer or a private person? If a private person, take a very knowledgeable person with you. (Even at a dealer)
Also, what can u afford? If u buy used (either dealer or private), can u pay cash outright? That would be better. If not, you'd best know ur monthly budget & what payment u can make. Do not forget to figure in insurance, tax, license, etc.
The most important thing is do a lot of research & thinking & budgeting before jumping at anything. If u do find something, come home & research it at Kelly Blue Book. Take a lot of things into consideration, mileage (a car should not have more than 15,000 per year, so what year is the car x 15,000 & u will see if the mileage is over what it should be) Do not forget (esp. depending on ur age) before u buy to call ur insurance company & see how much it will be (sports cars r of course higher, as r Cadillacs, etc. the older the car, the less the insurance should be - unless it is a ''classic'') Good luck

If your young, your gonnna awnt a nice, fast car. Well it does not work like that :).do not spend more than $5,000, and that is even a little expensive. its your first car, it might get beat up a little.
