How responsible and mature are you as a driver? If you're the type of sixteen year old that wants to speed and impress his buddies, probably not. If this is a car you want to take care of and keep for a while, go ahead.

not really. as a first time driver, you may be more likely to get in to an accident and a minni cooper is very small and wont' offer you much protection if you hit a bigger car

well l think if you are a reasonable person and remember not to allow anyone to talk you into doing anything stupid l think it would be fine.But always remember that there are other people on the road that are not as responsible so always watch out for other people too.My first car was my Father used BMW and l drove that car all through college.So the answer is responsibility
