l am needing a vehicle under 10 grand and was wandering if Car Max was a good choice for a purchase like that.

To make it simple..no, they are not.

My opinion is Car Max is not bad if u find one with very low miles. Their formulas give a decent discount on those. That being said, l get much better luck at a regular car dealership because l like to haggle. Go into a few car dealerships & pick a car that u have no intention on buying. See how low they will go that day & tell them u want to think about it. String em along for a couple of weeks to see how low they will go. Do that a few times & u will be a pro! Then look for the car u actually want. It seems like a drawn out process, but u will learn the power of negotiation. My parents did it with me & it helps me in other areas of life.

You will probably pay a little bit more for a car at CarMax than you would at a regular dealer, but at the same time you do not have to worry about haggling and you can be confident that you're getting a thoroughly inspected, good quality used car. There are a lot of lemons out there on used car lots, so that is definitely an important factor, in my opinion. You just have to decide if the extra cost is worth it or not.

car max is one of the best places there is to buy a car at they test and inspect every car and repair anything that is needed before you get to drive it,they also will warranty it,not many places will actually do a full test like they will, l have had the pleasure of seeing them work in person,and they will make a car 100% before anyone drives it or they wont sell it,good luck

Car Max is a decent place to find a good car if u r willing to take the time to reach there whole lot to find the car ur looking for. Other options for a used car dealership is J.D. Byrider. l do not know how ur financial status is but they work with people with bad or no credit & get everyone into a car some how. All there cars have warranty & a car fax report so u can get all the information u need from them. l will leave u there website & location finder site to see if u have one in ur area. They helped me out when l was young & needed a car for work with very bad credit. Just another option over car max, good luck.
