I am low on funds and desperately need a newer car. My current car is a 1981 Nissan and this car that l wanna buy is a 1999 Chevy Cavalier. I am wondering if $500 down is possible. l will be going to the dealership tomorrow and do not wanna embarrass myself. Also wondering if once l pay it off my credit score will get better? Thanks

There is no hurt in trying. You r giving them 500.00 deposit plus ur trade in. Say it is only worth 100 or 200. That is basically a 700.00 deposit leaving a balance of around 2000.00 loan. It all depends on the dealership, & who they use to finance ur newer vehicle. Chances r if it is a buy here, pay here lot, they will finance 2000.00, but ur interest rates will be high. Try a new car lot, they also sell used cars, & their interest rates may be better. If u get this newer car, make the payments promptly & pay it off, it will help ur credit rating.
